Hey, I'm Dhruva Alam! I just go by Drew and I'm a second year Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo.
From a very young age, I was always curious about how technology works. I would dissemble all my tech and try to figure out how they worked from the inside-out (albeit I wasn't always successful reassembling the stuff back together). It was through these experiences that sparked my interest for technology. As I grew older, I became fond of developing software and I really enjoy learning about new technologies every day! Solving complex problems and implementing efficient algorithms is what I enjoy the most about programming.

As a first generation Canadian, I'm grateful for the learning experiences and opportunities that have fostered me. I want to use what I learn at the University of Waterloo and my Co-op experiences to develop accessible software that provides bright young minds around the world with the ability to learn. My career goal is to inspire students and provide them with the tools they need to succeed— that's how I want to shake the world.
